Forceful, harsh toned, sturdily built, platinum blonde American actress, "second division" star, tall for the 40's at 5' 7" and seemingly a must for saloon girls.
She was a bottle blonde bombshell of the 40's and 50's who gained an entrance into Hollywood via the modeling and chorus girl route. Her first break came when she replaced Gypsy Rose Lee in the Broadway show Star And Garter. A talent scout liked her performance and she was signed a contract with Columbia Studios.
