Simon Scott was an American character actor who appeared in films and on television. His main career, though, was in the medium of television.

He was born Daniel Simon Scott in 1920 at Monterey Park, CA.

His career ran from 1952 until 1985 in which he had 132 credits for his appearances in film and television.

Scott many times played  roles like military men and detectives. He is best known for his role of Arnold Slocum in the TV series Trapper John MD.

Scott made five guest appearances on Perry Mason . He appeared in one of the last shows of the series entitled The Case Of The Positive Negative as the murderer Stanley Overton.

He also had a recurring role as Chief Metcalf on the TV series The Mod Squad.

Scott played General Bronson of the McHale's Navy TV series as well. He played quite a few military leaders during his career.

Simon Scott passed away in December 1991 at age 71.

I enjoyed this actor in the films Man Of A Thousand Faces, No Name On The Bullet, Moon Pilot, In Enemy Country, Twilight's Last Gleaming as well as his many TV appearances especially as Arnold Slocom on Trapper John MD
