Peter Mamakos was an American character actor of Greek descent in films and movies for over 40 years.

His career in these mediums lasted from 1949 to 1990 with 183 credits between these two mediums

Mamakos was born at Somerville, MA in 1918.

He began on stage in 1939 and moved into films and television in the late 1940's. he played many ethnic types including Indian, Greek, Hispanic, Italian and Middle Eastern characters and villains complete with a bushy mustache.

His film debut came in 1949 in Bride Of Vengeance and he made his television debut in 1950 on The  Magnavox Theater.

Peter Mamakos passed away in 2008 at age 89.

I remember seeing this actor in many tv series and films. I enjoyed his performances in his TV appearances as well as the films The Searchers, Private Eyes, Merry Andrew, Terror At Black Falls, The Bandits Of Corsica, Ship Of Fools and The Conqueror..
