Matt Le Blanc is an American actor best known for his role as Joey Tribbiani on the TV sitcom Friends and then a spin off series entitled Joey.
He was born at Newton, MA in 1967. His father was a mechanic of French Canadian ancestry and his mother was an office manager who was of Italian heritage.
After graduating from high school he spent time being a photo model wherafter he moved to New York and began taking acting lessons.
He first appeared in a Heinz Tomato Ketchup commercial. In 1988 he starred in the television drama TV 101 for one season. After that, he starred again on television in a spin off series based on Married.... With Children entitled Top Of The Heap which lasted only seven episodes.
Le Blanc found success in the role of Joey Tribbiani on Friends and went on to play his character for twelve years - 10 seasons on Friends and two seasons in Joey.
He formed a production company which produced the made for TV movie The Prince in 2006.
Le Blanc also starred in such films as Lost In Space and Charlie's Angels.
