Brigh, bubbly, petite, light haired American actress, a former child model who played several teenage roles before catching the public eye as the girl in Mighty Joe Young. She enjoyed a few years of stardom after this before beginning to slip. Received an Oscar nomination for Come Back Little Sheba.

She was born Helen Luella Koford in 1929 at Los Angeles, CA.

Ms. Moore grew up in a Mormon family in Los Angeles.

Before making her film debut in the film Maryland in 1940 she worked as a child model.

She began using the name Terry Moore in 1948 and had previously been billed as Judy Ford, Jan Ford and January Ford.

During the 1940's Ms. Moore worked on the radio on various series but is most known for the radio series The Smith's Of Hollywood.

She worked steadily in films during the 1950's receiving an Oscar nomination for her work in Come Back Little Sheba. But by the 1960's her film career had faltered, appearing less and less in films and more on television.

Ms. Moore has been married 5 times. Her last husband was Jerry Rivers and the marriage lasted from 1992 until his death in 2001. She has two children from her third husband Stuart Cramer named Stuart IV and Grant.

I enjoyed Ms. Moore in Mighty Joe Young ( especially) as well other films namely Come Back Little Sheba, Beneath The 12 Mile Reef, King Of The Khyber Rifles, Between Heaven And Hell and Cast A Long Shadow.
