Amanda Plummer was born in 1957 at New York City, the daughter of Christopher Plummer and Tammy Grimes.
She has received critical claim for her film work in such films as Cattle Annie And Little Britches, The World According To Garp, Daniel and The Hotel New Hampshire.
She made her Broadway debut as Jo in the 1981 revival of A Taste Of Honey for which she received a Tony Award nomination. She also won A Theater World, A Drama Desk and an Outer Critics Circle Award for her portrayal.
Ms. Plummer won a Tony Award as Featured Actress for her portrayal of Agnes in Agnes Of God.
Other Broadway performances included You Never Call Tell and Pygmalion as well as performances in Off Broadway productions of A Lie Of The Mind, Killer Joe, Summer And Smoke, The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore and The One Exception.
