Charles Meredith was an American character actor of stage, films and television.
He was born at Knoxville, PA in 1894.
He was originally on stage but left to. become a leading man in silent movies and played opposite such leading ladies as Blanche Sweet, Florence Vidor and Katherine MacDonald.appearing in both romantic drama and comedies.
His film debut came in 1919 in the film The Other Half. Meredith remained in film until 1922 and then returned to the stage. He resumed his film career in 1947.
Mr. Meredith continued on in film and then then television. According to IMDB he has 236 credits in those mediums for the period 1919 through 1964.
He was noted on television as Secretary Drake in the TV series Rocky Jones Space Ranger.

Mr. Meredith was married three times, his last wife being Marjorie Muse and the marriage lasted from 1932 until his death. The couple had one child.
They had met during local stage productions and she had appeared in many plays directed by him.
Charles Meredith passed away in 1964
