Sarah Marshall was an English actress, the daughter of actor Herbert Marshall.

She was  born at London, England in 1933.  Ms. Marshall was in the U. S. since 1939.

In addition to films and television, she was also on the stage and appeared on Broadway in such productions as The World Of Suzie Wong , Elmer Rice's  Dream Girl and Goodbye Charlie of which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Supporting Actress.

She also was recipient of Theater World's Award  in 1956 for the play The Ponder Heart.

In 1972 she went to London where she appeared in A. R. Gurney's Children  with Constance Cummings, Applause with Lauren Bacall and Neil, Simon's The Gingerbread Lady with Elaine Strich.  

Her film and television career has run from 1954 through 2012 with 70 credits in these mediums, though most were in television.

Ms. Marshall was married twice. Her first marriage ended in divorce but the second one to Carl Held lasted from  1964 until her death.

Sarah Marshall passed away in 2014 at age 80 after a long battle with cancer.

I enjoyed Ms. Marshall in The Long Hot Summer, A Rage To Live, The Bunker and an episode from Boris Karloff's Thriller entitled   "God Grant That She Lye Stille.", one of the best in the series.
