Theo Marcuse
Theo Marcuse was an American character actor who appeared in films an on television.His sinister, hulking appearance was enhanced by a shaven head that accentuated his elephantine ears. He usually played villains and sinister characters.
Theo Marcuse was born at Washington D C in 1920 of Irish parentage and his father was a successful fur designer.
Marcuse grew up in San Francisco and received a master degree in classical literature from Stanford University.
He was a lover of Shakespeare and this led him to a desire to act on the stage. He trained under Guthrie McClintic in his theater company along with Charlton Heston.
Marcuse appeared also on the Broadway stages along with such notables as Kathrine Cornell and Maurice Evans among others.
His film debut came in 1954 in the film The Desperate Woman. His television debut came in 1950 on the TV series The Clock.

Theo Marcuse died as the results of a traffic accident in 1967.
I particularly remember Mr Marcuse in the films Harum Scarum, The 27th Day, Jeanne Eagels, Hitler and The Last Of The Secret Agents.
I also very impressed with him in the Star Trek TV episode Catspaw.
