This was a good western being more of a character study than a shoot 'em up type. All the actors were good. Burr was playing one of his excellent villains before he soon would get religion and become Perry Mason and Ironside..

And not only was Ray Milland a good lead actor, he was the director as well.

IMDB gives this one a 6.4 out of 10.

I have always liked Ray Milland and Ward Bond and especially Raymond Burr as the villain.

There is also a number of top flight character actors in the film as well such as Alan Hale, Jr, Lee Van Cleef, Grandon Rhodes, Thomas B. Henry and Douglas Spencer.

I have always considered Burr a top notch villain, one of the best, if not the best villain in films.

I have this one in my collection and would recommend at least a viewing of this film. It would be a good addition to a western film collection.

Now off into the sunset!
