In the serial The Spy Smasher he played not only the title character but also his twin brother.
In The Devil Tiger, the director Clyde Elliott allowed Richmond to fight a 25 foot python. Richmond hated doubles and insisted doing the scene himself. While escaping from the triple coils of the snake, Richmond held the snake's snapping mouth away from his face.
He also played in several Charlie Chan movies and got a main supporting role in Knute Rockne-All American playing the part of Elmer Laydon - One of The Four Horsemen.
After 1948 Mr Richmond appeared on several TV series in small parts until 1966 when he retired.
He married actress Marion Burns and the marriage lasted from 1934 until his death. The couple had two children
Kane Richmond died in 1973 at the age of 66
I enjoyed Mr. Richmond in The Shadow films as well as Charlie Chan In Panama, Death Over New York, Charlie Chan in Reno, Riders Of The Purple Sage, Knute Rockne All American,, Brenda Starr Reporter and Action In The North Atlantic.
