Sour mouthed, creaking voice, dark complexioned American actor of medium build who came lamentably late to films but was soon clocking up three movies a year.. Usually plays wrong headed moaners, who look as though they have swallowed a jar of pickles, or pains in the neck who are hard to get rid of, and appeared to great effect in several of Clint Eastwood's more light hearted romps.....
He was born Geoffrey Bond Lewis in 1935 at Plainfield, N. J.
Lewis studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC.
His film debut came in 1971 in the film The Todd Killings and his TV debut came in 1970 in the TV series Then Came Bronson.
Lewis was active in both films and television racking up 220 credits between the years 1970 and 2015.
He was also known for his film roles alongside Robert Redford and Clint Eastwood.

Geoffrey Lewis passed away in April of 2015 from a heart attack.
